Kazakhstan invests over 530 billion tenge in mining and metals modernisation

At a government meeting, the Minister of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan reported that more than 530 billion tenge had been invested in the technical re-equipment of mining and metals enterprises. A separate list of 50 major plants has been prepared where modernisation comes first, together with a control map for technical re-equipment.

Why it matters here too

Money in the industry moves in one direction: equipment, safety and less dependence on the human factor. New equipment on its own, however, brings little if running hours are not counted, maintenance standards live in people's heads and a failure is analysed from memory.

Re-equipment pays off when a system stands next to it that remembers the history of every unit: what was replaced, when, for what reason and at what cost. Otherwise, two years later the company faces the same question, only with more expensive machines.
